Welcome to the Universal Gnostic Church

Welcome to a refuge for those who question, who heal, who dream of something freer. Here you’ll find an inclusive, interfaith community where all are honored, and no path is imposed. Come as you are… you have a place here.

Who We Are

We are the Universal Gnostic Church (UGC), a decolonial, interfaith sanctuary rooted in Unity, Compassion, Freedom, and Knowledge.

In a time of rising authoritarianism, spiritual colonialism, and forced conformity, we provide refuge for all who seek spiritual autonomy, community, and truth. We serve especially those who have been marginalized for their beliefs, ancestry, sexuality, gender, or status as migrants.

UGC is not bound to any single dogma. Instead, we weave Gnostic, pagan, indigenous, and ancestral traditions into a shared path of spiritual liberation. Our clergy wear black to honor both mourning and resolve. Our practices bear our personal traditions as a testament to radical inclusion.

We reject hierarchy for its own sake. Instead, we teach and lead in community, honoring every voice.

Our Mission

To empower spiritual autonomy, foster decolonial healing, and build collective liberation—especially among BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, migrant, and marginalized communities.

OUR PILLARS

  • Unity – We build bridges across traditions, cultures, and struggles.

  • Compassion – We care for one another without condition.

  • Freedom – We resist domination and champion self-determination.

  • Wisdom – We seek wisdom beyond imposed boundaries.

Where We Serve

UGC has members across the globe, including the USA, UK and Caribbean.  We are rooted in the Dominican Republic. Here, we support local communities, provide aid to migrants and displaced people, and offer spiritual shelter from the forces of evangelical colonialism that seek to erase ancestral traditions.

All are welcome here.
